Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about the IN-TECH registration process, apprenticeship programs and what it means to become a member of Local 134.

    Q1. When can I register?

A1. Three separate registrations will take place in 2008. Communications registration will take place in January and February. Electrical Construction and Residential registration periods will be announced later.

Q2. Can I register for more than one program?

A2. Yes, you can register for one, two or all three programs. Each application is kept in a separate file within each registration group. If you wish to apply more than once, you must attend each registration, furnish separate documents for each registration, pay each application fee, and complete each testing and evaluation process.

Q3. If I'm accepted, when would school begin?

A3. Applicants receive a ranking letter approximately six weeks after completing the application process. The ranking letter will help you determine when classes would start.

Q4. How does IN-TECH make decisions on the total number of applicants accepted each year?

A4. IN-TECH selects applicants into the program based on the need for apprentices in the industry.

Q5. Can IN-TECH reuse the documents from my old application?

A5. No, the old application files are closed with the old documents intact. All 2008 registrations must include copies of all requested documents.
